Placing wet paint in the trashcan or pouring it into the street is against the law and harms the environment. Dispose of Paint one of the following ways: 
Reuse & Donate. Reuse leftover paint or donate it.
Water-based paint. Remove the lid and once the paint has dried, it can be placed inside the trashcan.
Oil-based paint. Store the paint in a safe location until you can take the paint to a drop off point for recycling or proper disposal.
